Ensuring quality – cutting costs

A good translation starts with the source text.

Writing content that it is standardized and easy to understand has a positive impact on the quality and thus on the cost of translation. Experience has shown that by standardizing text, we can achieve text reductions of up to 30 percent! If the text is then translated into 10 or more languages, the effect is significant.

Furthermore, we place great value on terminology work. Using terminology consistently in the source text simplifies translation work later on. It also has a positive impact on the hit rate in the translation memory system and of course on the quality of the translation itself.

Tools for support

XML editors make it possible to give data attributes so that they are treated as variants. These attributes also facilitate localization. In this way, the product designations and data can be easily modified from a central location, for example, technical data can be converted directly and automatically from the metric system into another system (e.g. Imperial).

We would be happy to advise you on optimization and cost reduction in large-scale translation projects.
