Systematic documentation
Dokuwerk advises you on all aspects of selecting and installing an editing system. We use a standardized procedure for this that is tailored to your needs. This means that you benefit from our expertise and our independent, neutral advice.
Analysis
We analyze the status quo and user-friendliness of your documents and information processes and derive potential for improvement. This includes standardizing the content and internal structure as far as the product-programme structure. We use this knowledge to analyze your target publications in terms of content, structure, formats, media and automation.
Catalogue of requirements/performance specifications
In the catalogue of requirements or performance specifications, the technical and functional requirements of a system as well as the interfaces to upstream and downstream systems are defined. Because we want to make sure that your new editing system fits into your system landscape perfectly. The specifications also take processes for graphic design, for example, into account.
Selecting and installing the system
Once the peformance specifications have been defined, the next step is to choose your editing system: We invite different system providers to present their solutions and help you to ask the right questions. A decision matrix will guide you to making a rational decision. Before we go about implementing the new system, we first launch a pilot project. This shows us where adjustments are needed, e.g. at the interfaces. Finally, we help you to install the system and develop the navigation, page types and templates as well as the style sheets for compiling and publishing information.
Roll-out and training
We support you in classifying and modelling your data and importing the content and train you to work with the new system. On request, we put together a style guide or sample documentation for you.
Thanks to our broad range of services and our know-how, we always find the right solution – for you and your requirements!
