Back to basics

Content analysis is a key factor in compiling a catalogue. It is based on a review of your latest catalogues, or alternatively, a 360° analysis involving a comparison of competitors, a user survey and an analysis of the information processes.

Content analysis

  • Review – We give you feedback on your current catalogue: What is good, where are the weaknesses? What could be improved? Does the catalogue fulfill its purpose?
  • Comparison of competitors – How are your competitors positioned? How does your catalogue compare?
  • User survey – How is your catalogue used? What information do users look for and find? How does your target group go about doing this?
  • Information processes – Where are catalogue data stored? In what form and in which systems? Which departments are involved? What interdependencies are there?

Specification analysis

Next we deal with your future technical requirements for a catalogue system. Here are just some options:

  • Which media and channels, e.g. e-business portals, do you want to serve?
  • Should master data be used?
  • Should data be taken from media asset management systems or be put into them?

The results of the specification analysis can also be used as a basis for performance specifications. We always take the feasibility of the project into account: is the relationship between time, cost and effort required "healthy"?
